As an
Alumnus of Tennessee Temple University, I
still maintain, with a minor variance, their confession of faith |
|
| 1 |
I believe in
the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures. I believe that
the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God's
plan and purpose in the ages. |
|
| 2 |
I believe in
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. |
|
| 3 |
I believe in
the deity, virgin birth, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. |
|
| 4 |
I believe that
salvation is "by grace," plus nothing and minus nothing. The
condition to salvation is faith alone. |
|
| 5 |
I believe that
men are justified by faith alone and are accounted righteous before God
only through the merit of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Justification establishes an eternal relationship that can never be
broken. |
|
| 6 |
I believe in
the visible, personal, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ. |
|
| 7 |
I
believe in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved and the
everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
|
|
|
I want to make it very clear that
the above beliefs are not an absolute basis for fellowship. In fact, I
have many Christian friends who differ on some of the statements above.
This is provided for the benefit of those who come to this site wanting
to know where I stand on certain fundamental beliefs. |
